Challenge
Our challenge was to redesign the way the Coca-Cola Company onboarded new hires and transferred employees between regions globally.
As more and more core HR processes had been automated by IT, the human touch was being lost. And the company was not competing well with its peer global consumer brands in hiring and onboarding.
Approach
The reshift team designed a multi-phased project to help the company dramatically improve key aspects of Employee Experience (EX) — its hiring and onboarding processes — one that placed employees and managers at the center of the process and used IT as a means, not an end in and of itself.
After research, we facilitated a three-day Employee Experience co-creation workshop with 40 participants from ten different countries, representing newly hired employees, managers, HR and IT.
Outcome
Eight cross-functional, cross-cultural teams worked together to develop new EX service concepts that improved various aspects of the hiring and onboarding experience. These were prototyped and rolled out progressively across global regions.
